Welcome to my piano studio. This is a place where one can learn the art of playing the piano (both classical and contemporary) in a relaxed atmosphere. I have offered private lessons to both children and adults for many years. I offer in person lessons or on line for the students in which that would be appropriate. Bio
I have taught piano for 25+ years and draw from my experience as a student at the Eastman School of Music, and Duquesne University. With the educational background in Music Ed, and Music Therapy I've learned how to meet the student where he or she is and train up from there. My favorite aspect of teaching is getting to know each student and what makes them tick! Its from this grounding that we can learn the basics of music to move into intermediate and early advanced literature. Make no mistake, I love teaching the classics, but contemporary is fantastic too!
